  • 2026-04-02 – Version 4.2.0 – New Feature Automate Bulk Cloning with Jira Automation

    • Bulk Clone now integrates directly with Jira Automation — Clone issues in bulk as part of any automation rule, no manual steps required. Simply select a saved template, define which issues to clone via JQL or the trigger issue, and let automation handle the rest.

      Use cases:
      Recurring onboarding — Clone a standard onboarding checklist when a new team member is added.
      Project kickoff — Clone a predefined task set when a new Epic is created.
      Incident response — Clone investigation and remediation tasks for high-priority bugs.
      Support escalation — Clone support tickets into the development backlog with correct mappings.

      We’ve supercharged Bulk Clone Professional for Jira Cloud to handle and automate “Cloning of Spaces” – a Jira Admin’s favorite request

      🧪 Ability to Clone Spaces/projects and their configurations with our without data

      Clone a new space/project based on a existing project with its data and unique space configuration.

      You are able to;

      • Use different space templates

      • Convert between different type of templates

      • Clone specific data based on your JQL query (Yes, we built JQL support into the cloning process)

      • Determine if you want to clone schemes or just default to existing ones

      • Clone over hierarchies of xRay Test data (when applicable) from your source space to your target space

      • Clone over boards, versions, components for applicable space templates

      ⚡ Edit Link Relationships

      • A neat little feature that allows you to alter an existing link relationship between work items to a one of your choosing

      🧪 Deep Xray Integration

      Clone and map Xray Tests, Test Details, Plans, Sets, and Preconditions with all associations intact.

      • Permissions Note: Updating triggers a notice that the app “no longer meets Runs on Atlassian requirements.” This is strictly to allow the app to reach xray.cloud for data transfer. If you don’t clone Xray data, then the data never reaches out to xray.cloud.

      ⚡ Automation Templates

      Save your setup as a Template. Selecting one instantly sets:

      • Project & Issue Type mappings.

      • Feature selections & Field edits.

      • All mandatory field values.
        Just validate and click “Start Cloning.”

      🔄 Status Mapping & Dashboards

      • Status Mapping: Map source statuses to target project statuses.

      • Analytics: New Dashboards to track clone volume by Project and User.

  • 2026-02-19 – Version 2.19.0 – New Feature additions – Dashboard, Clone Comments & Clone/Remap Workflow status

    • this release we added some real cool features;

      1. When you choose Bulk Clone from the APPS menu, you are redirected to the log & license page. We have now added a Dashboard in here so you can keep track on what has been Bulk Cloned, by whom, which projects and what issue types

      2. We have added an option to Clone comments or not, if enabled the whole history of comments will be cloned over for every parent issue and subtask

      3. “Clone Status” has been introduced – Clone Status enables you to change the status for each parent & subtask issue type for the target set of issues

      4. Minor graphical improvements

        this release we added some real cool features;

    • In this release we have added a couple of useful cloning options for you.

  • 2025-12-05 – Version 2.17.0 – New Features: “Add Suffix” and “Set Reporter to Me”

    • In this version we have added the following features;

      • Add “Suffix” to your summary field – You can now invoke your own suffix in the summary field, works similar to the “Add Prefix” option

      • “Set Reporter to Me” – This is a neat little feature that allows you to set the entire clone set with you as a reporter, if you so desire.
