  • 2026-08-27 – Version 4.11.0 – Native Jira navigation & Xray fixes
    • Settings now uses Jira’s own navigation
      • Bulk Clone Settings has moved from in-app tabs to Jira’s native page navigation. Templates, Clone Spaces, Xray, Dashboard, Log and License now appear directly in Jira’s sidebar, so each section has its own address you can bookmark and share with your team.

      • The Diagnostics tab is now called Dashboard.

    • Xray detection fixed

Some users saw errors when opening the Xray section or cloning test executions. Xray detection has been rebuilt on supported Jira APIs, which resolves those errors and makes detection faster and more reliable across Xray versions and configurations.

    • Also in this release

      • Continued permission hardening across the automation clone, status mapping and Xray validation paths — every Jira call runs with the requesting user’s own permissions.

      • Faster loading of the Log and Dashboard sections, which no longer fetch job data twice.

  • 2026-08-26 – Version 4.10.0 – Redesigned Mapping Experience & Security Hardening
    • A clearer path from selection to clone
      • The field mapping screen has been redesigned: mappings are easier to scan, expandable sections keep long lists manageable, and new loading animations show what the app is doing instead of a blank screen.

      • The confirmation and cloning screens have been polished to match, and Xray checks now report what was found before you start.

    • Fixes

      • Minimizing the clone progress window no longer loses track of the running job.

      • Opening Bulk Clone from an Epic no longer shows two dialogs.

      • Cloning large selections is faster — redundant permission checks removed.

    • Security

This release completes a review of how Bulk Clone talks to Jira. Every operation now runs strictly with the requesting user’s permissions, including background work after a clone is queued. Projects you cannot access are never read or cloned, and the attempt is logged. No admin action required.

  • 2026-08-25 – Version 4.9.0 – UI Improvements to navigation screens and security posture improvements
    • In this version we have done the following improvements;

      • Improved the navigation in the mapping screens, navigation is now more intuitive

      • Improved performance in the mapping screens for datasets with many projects

  • 2026-08-18 – Version 4.8.0 – Introducing Smart User Templates
    • Introducing Smart User Templates — Bulk Clone the way you always clone, in one click, with all your presets applied.

DEFAULT Your default template — set one and the Bulk Clone form opens with it selected and applied. No more forgetting to pick it.

🎯 Only one default, and you always know which — turn it on for a second template and Bulk Clone names the one it will replace, before you save. The green DEFAULT badge shows which one is live.

🔎 Templates remember the search — a new template stores the JQL it was saved from.

🔁 Use Template JQL — an opt-in toggle, off by default, that clones from the template’s saved query instead of your Jira search, for this run only

  • 2026-07-28 – Version 4.7.0 – Faster, More Reliable Cloning with XRay
    • We’ve streamlined the XRay validation process to make cloning smoother and more dependable. By removing a redundant validation step, adding work items to the clone queue is now faster and more reliable — eliminating the timeouts that could occur with larger XRay operations.

      • Unique Label is no longer required — cloned work items are now identified by a new BulkCloneSession work item property

      • Defaulting the Jira Space and Work Item Type to the source in the mapping step (even if templates are not used)

      • Performance improvements in the preparation step when work items are grouped

    • Jira administrators can now delete large volumes of clone job log history in one go — directly from the Log tab in Bulk Clone Settings. Cleanup runs in the background in batches, so you can leave the page and return to check progress.
      • Who -Jira admins only
      • Where Apps → Bulk Clone → Log
      • Scope – Log records only
    • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Cloned issues, comments, and attachments are never affected — only log history entries are removed.
  • 2026-04-02 – Version 4.2.0 – New Feature Automate Bulk Cloning with Jira Automation
    • Bulk Clone now integrates directly with Jira Automation — Clone issues in bulk as part of any automation rule, no manual steps required. Simply select a saved template, define which issues to clone via JQL or the trigger issue, and let automation handle the rest.
